Our History
District of Columbia is the nation's capital and is often referred to as simply DC. It was founded July 16, 1790, by George Washington because he wanted to be located on the Potomac River. This city is the home of many historic places such as : The White House, all 3 branches of the government, Supreme Court, Capitol Building , dozens of federal buildings, and historic figures past homes.
